Welcome

Welcome to my 365 project. I am using NE Wisconsin barns for my theme. I hope to capture a new barn every day. I would like this to be a narrative of the plight of barns in Wisconsin. Many are falling into disrepair, or are being completely removed.

I have mirrored these images on my photography website http://robertelko.zenfolio.com/ . These images are larger, and higher in resolution. They are available for purchase.

If you are in the area, and would like to see the barns for yourself, click on the city name at the bottom of the photo. It will take you to google maps.

Thanks for stopping!!

Final thoughts...

Well, in the home stretch it was just too much for me to get out every day and find another barn. Moving to a new home takes a lot more time than I thought it would. That very reason is why this post is so late. I finally have the time to put this Blog to rest and move on to the next great adventure. I would like to advise anyone who ever contemplated starting a 365 to do it. Just pick up the camera and get it done (or try like hell).

I am thinking for the next project I would like to scale back a little and try a 52... One picture or cluster of pictures during the span of a week. Feel free to comment below on topics you would like to see, but I do have an idea rolling around in the back of my head. Cemetaries. Not the giant mega-plots with crypts and such, more like tiny rural plots, family plots, preferrably with an old wrought iron sign declaring "(insert small town name here) Cemetary". Let me know what you think, I am open to suggestions.....

Now as a send off, a few of my favorite barns from my 265....
