Welcome

Welcome to my 365 project. I am using NE Wisconsin barns for my theme. I hope to capture a new barn every day. I would like this to be a narrative of the plight of barns in Wisconsin. Many are falling into disrepair, or are being completely removed.

I have mirrored these images on my photography website http://robertelko.zenfolio.com/ . These images are larger, and higher in resolution. They are available for purchase.

If you are in the area, and would like to see the barns for yourself, click on the city name at the bottom of the photo. It will take you to google maps.

Thanks for stopping!!

Hwy A

I had a great time with today's picture. I got to meet Ed and his two brothers Raymond and Richard,Ray and Dick are twins. They are genuinely nice people. I heard from a friend that they are the only ones running the farm. They look to be in their 70's, but were out hauling hay from one barn to the other in 88° weather with the Farmall. Their other barn which I will come back to, was added on to in 1911. That much they know for sure, but they don't know when the original barn was raised. I tried to make this look like an old fashioned illustration from a magazine. I don't know if I got it, but you can e-mail me @ elko.robert@gmail.com and let me know!
